Bristol Museum and Art Gallery exhibits outstanding collections of art, archaeology, Egyptology and natural history in a magnificent Edwardian building. This '101-Must-Visit' location tells the story of our world in every display, from the beginning of time to the present day. You can explore 19 galleries, across 3 floors, revealing fascinating cultures, ancient civilisations, human invention and creativity, as well as showcasing our beautiful and fragile natural world. With thousands of amazing objects on display, and lots of links to your ancestors, you will feel that one visit is not enough. Such is the importance of the collections that a number have ‘Designated’ or outstanding status awarded by the Government, including geology, Eastern art, Bristol history and English delftware. A changing programme of blockbuster exhibitions take place throughout the year.
